Read any two of the books* recommended and complete the following task:
- For one book, prepare a verbal sharing (about 5 min) on its synopsis, what you like best about the story and learnt from the book (in terms of moral issues / themes etc). Be prepared to be asked questions by your EL teacher!
* You should NOT choose a book that you have already read. If you will be a Literature student in Sec 3 in 2009, you must choose To Kill a Mockingbird as one of the texts.
- In addition, your EL teacher will give you a QUIZ in Term 1 Week 1 next year on the second book you selected to ascertain how closely you read the book! The quiz may consist of fill-in-the-blanks, matching exercises or simple structured questions.

Subject Combination Results Important Notes to All Students:
1) Appeals will not be considered except for the following cases:
a. Student is not offered any of his / her choices.
b. Student is offered the B1 or C2 option but wishes to take up History instead of Geography.
c. Student is offered the C1 option but wishes to take up Geography instead of History.
2) Appeal forms can be obtained from the General Office staff.
3) Appeal forms must be submitted to the General Office before 12 noon on Tue, 11 Nov 08.
4) Late submission of appeal forms will not be accepted.
5) All appeal cases will be notified by Fri, 14 Nov 08.

Hello 2C!I will post the details for the upcoming chalet, for those who missed it before.
Chalet Details
Venue: Aranda Country Club, Room No.2302
Date/Day: 4th November - 6th November 2008, Tuesday - Thursday
Time: Meet at Pasir Ris MRT Station @ 3:30pm
BBQ starts @ 5pm (Tentative)
For those having CCAs, please give me a call so that i know that you'll be late.
To Bring List:
1. Clothes
2. Water bottle (optional)
3. Toothbrush/Toothpaste
4. Towel
5. Toiletries (soap & shampoo NOT provided)
6. Toilet Paper (unless you planning to hold your bowels for 3 days)
7. Sleeping Bag (Not Compulsory, but then you just sleep on the cold hard floor)
8. Money (For your own expenses + And the unprovided meals. Alternatively, you can starve)
9. Own entertainment
10. Personal Medication
11. Any DVDs or CDs for the movie marathon. (Optional)
